Job Description

Location: Southern NH & Southern ME (Berwick, Wells, Eliot, Kittery ME & Dover, Rollinsford, Somersworth, Barrington, Lee, Madbury, Newmarket, Northwood, Nottingham, Strafford NH)

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday (long weekends off!)
• Routes typically run 6:30 AM – 2:00/3:00 PM , occasionally until 4:00 PM
• Paid 40 hours/week salary , even though most weeks are 35 hours or less
• Fridays off (except during holiday weeks or weather delays)

Job Overview
Beacon Waste Services is a small, family-owned company founded in 2017. We take pride in providing reliable curbside trash collection while treating both employees and customers with honesty, respect, and teamwork. We run new, well-maintained trucks and have built a strong reputation across the communities we serve in Southern NH and Southern ME.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trash trucks on residential and commercial collection routes
• Collect curbside trash, dumpsters, and light walk-up services (minimal)
• Perform basic truck checks: refuel, top off DEF fluid, report maintenance issues
• Follow DOT and company safety standards
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Safely and efficiently complete routes on time

What We’re Looking For

• Clean driving record required
• CDL license is great, but not required
• Must obtain a DOT medical card (company will assist if you don’t have one)
• Prior commercial driving or waste industry experience preferred — but we will train the right person
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Must pass background check & participate in regular random drug testing

Compensation & Perks

• $50,000 – $52,000 annual salary
• Quarterly bonuses
• 40 hours of pay for ~35 hours of work most weeks
• 3-day weekends (Friday–Sunday off) in almost all cases

Hiring Timeline

Our current driver is retiring at the end of January 2026 . We’re hiring now to allow training overlap — flexible start date, but ideally by December 2025 .
