Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sewer Install Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sewer systems and main water service for homes. The residential sewer installer plays a vital role in maintaining the sanitation and functionality of residential and commercial properties by ensuring that wastewater is properly managed and disposed of. 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Assess sites to determine the best locations for sewer lines.
• Excavate trenches using heavy machinery for pipe installation.
• Lay and connect sewer pipes to the main sewer line or septic tank.
• Inspect and test installed sewer systems for leaks and proper function.
• Backfill and compact soil over installed pipes.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sewer systems.
• Assessing, selling, and installing sewer liners as a no-dig option.
• Communicate with homeowners regarding the installation process and any potential disruptions.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes.

What Does It Take?

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program preferred or vocational training in plumbing, pipefitting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sewer system installation and maintenance.
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy lifting and working in confined spaces.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Certification from the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) or similar organization, preferred.
• Experience with specialized equipment such as cameras and hydro jetters, preferred.
