Job Description A server is responsible for the following duties and tasks:
- Engage with guests, team members and managers to make a positive lasting impression
- Ensure and promote safety and cleanliness
- Serve alcohol to guests following safe alcohol service guidelines and local, state and federal laws
- Take guests' orders and accurately enter them in our POS system
- Prepare beverages, desserts & soups
- Anticipate and fulfill guest requests
- Deliver food and beverages to guests
- Particiate in team pre-bussing and running of food, offer to help fellow team members
- Help to ensure the restaurant is set up for success by stocking side stations & completing sidework
- Process payments, including making change for cash payments
- Light cleaning
- Communicate openly with management regarding any work-related concerns
Requirements Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- A minimum of one year of serving experience in a full service restaurant with a bar
- Must be guest focused, proactive, charismatic, outgoing and approachable
- Must have a valid Food Handler Card
- Able to speak, read and understand English
- Has excellent verbal communication & interpersonal skills
- Can perform basic mathmatic calculations
- Able to solve problems, adapt to change easily and multi-task
- Able to work positively in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work effectively within a team
- Able to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency and able to meet deadlines
- Able to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
- Have continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching & twisting
