The Opportunity: Research Associate I, Clinical Computational Biology In this entry-level role, you will work within our Translational Medicine group supporting the computational workflows for the analysis, interpretation, and visualization of biomarker data from our clinical trial samples. In particular, you will perform rigorous quality control checks to confirm the accuracy and integrity of data throughout the entirety of the analysis pipeline. This position requires extensive collaboration with biomarker scientists and other computational biologists.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field.
Experience with R and/or Python for the analysis of NGS data (e.g. RNA-sequencing)/
Familiarity with genetics and/or cancer biology.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving errors.
Demonstrated eagerness to learn new concepts in a fast-paced environment.
Highly collaborative team member.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with bash/command-line tools in a Unix/Linux.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git/Github.
