Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – IV / Vascular Access Specialist

Location: Hyannis, MA

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift

Pay Rate: $65–$75 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) – IV / Vascular Access Specialist for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process while maintaining accurate and timely documentation

  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses

  • Perform venipuncture and provide vascular access care, including peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICC lines

  • Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities as assigned

  • Utilize electronic medical records and nursing informatics systems effectively

  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff education, orientation, and patient teaching

  • Participate in unit meetings and required educational programs

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and infection control policies

  • Maintain records of ongoing professional development and continuing education

  • Stay current with pediatric and newborn care standards, techniques, and hospital policies

  • Represent the organization professionally while maintaining patient confidentiality

  • Deliver service excellence to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Successful completion of hospital pharmacology requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in intravenous therapy, including peripheral IV placement for pediatric and newborn patients (within the past 6 months)

  • Experience with PICC line insertion and ultrasound-guided PIVs preferred

  • PICC placement proficiency required within 1 year

  • IV Certification (CRNI) required within 2.5 years

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
