Overview
The Preschool Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational environment for young children. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere that promotes learning and development. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in education administration, and a passion for early childhood education.

Duties

  • Develop and implement educational programs that align with state standards and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Manage the preschool budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high-quality programming.
  • Lead and mentor teaching staff, fostering professional development and encouraging a collaborative team environment.
  • Oversee enrollment processes, including marketing strategies to attract families to the preschool.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Engage with parents and the community to build strong relationships that support children's learning and development.
  • Conduct regular assessments of programs and staff performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in strategic planning initiatives to enhance the preschool's mission and vision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in education administration, preferably within an early childhood setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience managing financial resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning processes and implementation within an educational context.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity among students, families, and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
