The May Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow to join our team exploring how niche-epithelial interactions guide organ development and regeneration.
Our research combines in vivo genetic models, in vitro organoid systems, advanced imaging, and high-dimensional sequencing approaches to uncover fundamental principles by which the innate immune system directs the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying exocrine gland and airway biology.
Position Description
The successful candidate will lead projects aimed at dissecting the behavioral dynamics of tissue-resident macrophages in exocrine systems and define macrophage-mediated regulation of gland organogenesis and repair. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of developmental/stem cell biology, immunology, and computational systems analysis in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
