Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight childcare services ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.
- Attend to the children’s needs during nighttime hours which may include feeding, changing diapers, and soothing to sleep.
- Help establish and maintain a consistent bedtime routine.
- Monitor children’s behavior and manage any nighttime awakenings with care and attention.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s needs and any concerns that arise during the night.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment as it pertains to the children’s sleeping area.
- Adhere to any specific parenting guidelines or requests as communicated by the parents.
- Be a calming presence during the night to ensure children feel secure and supported.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in childcare is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently during nighttime hours.
- Strong communication skills to effectively relay information to parents.
- Compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of child care and safety practices.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, or in a childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Understanding of infant and toddler development is a plus.
- First aid and CPR certification is a benefit, though not required.
