Day Porter Janitor to be the friendly face of cleanliness in our Mount Vernon location. If you take pride in creating welcoming spaces and enjoy staying active throughout the day, this is the perfect opportunity to make a real impact!
Shifts Available: - Day: 07:00am - 03:00pm
- Mid-day: 12:00pm - 08:00pm
- Evening: 05:00pm - 01:00am
What You’ll Do: As our Day Porter Janitor, you’ll play a key role in keeping our building looking its best during operating hours. Your mission: ensure a clean, safe, and inviting environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining spotless common areas through sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing.
- Keeping high-traffic spaces—like lobbies, restrooms, and shared areas—fresh and orderly.
- Monitoring and replenishing restroom supplies so guests always have what they need.
- Emptying trash and replacing liners to keep the facility tidy.
- Jumping into action quickly for spills, messes, or urgent cleaning needs.
- Assisting with room setups and breakdowns for meetings or events.
- Safely handling and storing cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Following all safety procedures to support a secure and healthy workplace.
What You Bring: - Janitorial or cleaning experience —you know what it takes to keep a facility spotless.
- The ability to stay self-motivated and productive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- A sharp eye for detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Friendly communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper safety protocols.
Schedule & Compensation: - Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8 hours per day
- Primarily daytime hours; flexibility for events or occasional cleaning emergencies.
- Competitive pay: $21–$23 per hour , depending on experience.
