Summary

We are hiring a dependable and experienced Morning Opener who can also serve as a Director Assistant , and School Van Driver . This full-time, multi-functional role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, early childhood classroom experience, and solid administrative and communication skills.
This person will play a critical role in supporting daily center operations, covering classrooms as needed, assisting the director with admin responsibilities, and safely transporting children using the daycare van.

Duties

Morning Opener (7:00 AM Start):

  • Arrive punctually to open the daycare center and prepare classrooms.
  • Greet children and families in a professional, warm manner.
  • Ensure the center is clean, organized, and ready for the day.
Administrative & Director Assistant Support:

  • Assist with parent communication, staff scheduling, and file maintenance.
  • Support enrollment paperwork, food program tracking, and compliance documentation.
  • Help implement daily routines, transitions, and staff coordination as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff and center director.
Classroom & Staff Support:

  • Step in to cover classrooms or breaks when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Bright from the Start standards.
  • Be hands-on and ready to assist wherever needed during busy times.
School Van Driver (Afternoon Shift):

  • Drive a 14-passenger van to pick up or drop off children (2:00 PM–4:00 PM).
  • Ensure children's safety following transportation safety protocols.
  • Perform regular safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
Requirements:

  • Prior experience in early childhood education and classroom environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Transportation safety training (or willingness to complete via ProSolutions).
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy childcare setting.
  • Must pass background check and fingerprinting.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CDA, TCC, or higher early childhood education credential.
  • Experience supporting or assisting a daycare director.
  • Familiarity with Georgia’s Bright from the Start regulations.
