Pay: $16.00 per hour to start with a raise of $1.00 to $3.00 per hour after 90-days.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 08:00 am - 03:30 to 05:00 pm

Possibility that this job could become a remote opportunity in the future once trained.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Laser Template Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for creating, operating, and maintaining laser templating systems to generate accurate digital templates for fabrication purposes, within the stone industry, The ideal candidate has a background in technical drawing, CAD software, carpentry construction, or laser measurement systems, and is comfortable working in both shop and field environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform on-site laser templating using precision laser equipment to create accurate digital files of countertops, threshholds, fireplace surrounds, or other custom installations.

   

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and fabricators to ensure templates meet project specifications.

   

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laser templating equipment to ensure optimal performance.

   

• Review and edit digital files for quality, completeness, and accuracy.

   

• Upload, organize, and document template files within project management or database systems.

   

• Follow safety guidelines and industry best practices when operating laser systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in CAD, drafting, or related field preferred.

   

• 1–3 years of experience in laser templating, drafting, surveying, or a similar technical field.

   

• Experience with laser templating tools would be preferred.

   

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

   

• Computer savvy.

   

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

   

• Experience in the countertop, millwork, or glass fabrication industries is preferred.

   

• Ability to read and understand a tape measure to the 1/16th, shop drawings, cut sheets, and specifications would be preferred.
• Training for the right candidate is offered.
