Job Description
Summary The FCC Home Inspector provides agency services for home-based Family Child Care providers. They enhance the professionalism of Family Child Care providers and conduct Family Child-Care, Child-Care Food Program and Family, Friend and Neighbor (FFN) Child Care inspections.
Duties Recruit, evaluate, train and monitor Registered Family Child Care Providers
· Conduct FCC and FFN home inspections as required by DFD regulations
· Provide “technical assistance” to Registered FCC & FFN providers, including in-service training, ECC payment requirements in collaboration with ECC trainer & specialists
· Maintain records as required for the Family Child Care Registration program and participants
· Assist with the agency’s sponsorship of the Child Care Food Program through the NJ Department of Agriculture
· Notify DCP&P, Institutional Abuse Unit, whenever there is reasonable cause to believe that a child has been subjected to abuse and/or neglect, following CCCC complaint policy reporting procedure
Requirements - An associate’s degree in human services, child care services, child development, education, nursing or social work and one year of experience working with children
- Must have a valid drivers license and car for field work
- Bi-lingual necessary
