Job Description

Funeral Service Client Experience Coordinator Location Durham, NC :

Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work well with others on time sensitive tasks
  • Ability to input an address, read, and follow electronic gps directions
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Have an acute attention to detail

Job Duties:

  • Transporting decedents to the funeral home
  • Assists funeral directors during funeral services
  • Dress and casket the decedents for viewings and funeral services
  • Maintaining funeral home cars
  • Answering telephones and receiving visitors
  • Processing and retrieving death certificates
  • Guides visitors to guest book and distributes memorialization materials as needed.
  • Receives and places flowers in chapels.
  • Ensures that public spaces such as lobby, chapels, restrooms, and reception/rest areas are clean and prepared prior to, and at the conclusion of, scheduled services.
  • Oversees parking area and ensures family and ceremonial vehicles are arranged for formal procession.
  • Have ability to lift 125+ lbs without assistance
  • Have a valid NC driver license with a clean driving record. No DUI or DWI in the past 5 years

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working in a funeral home setting
  • Professional attire ( black business suit and white shirt for funerals)
  • Khakis and collared shirt for day to day work
  • Be capable of passing driver's license and criminal background check
  • Have reliable transportation and cell phone service

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
