Our Los Angeles office has an opportunity for an Employment Litigation Of Counsel to join the firm’s expanding practice. The Employment Counsel will be expected to perform all the duties of an employment law defense firm attorney, with includes independently defending litigation and providing advice and counsel to clients on employment-law issues. Litigation duties include, but are not limited to: performing legal research; drafting legal memoranda, motions (including dispositive motions), and pleadings; attending court conferences and engaging in oral argument; taking and defending depositions; handling discovery-related activities and investigations; drafting of position statements; and leading mediation and direct settlement negotiations. The right candidate will have a consistent track record of engaging in substantive litigation work (motion practice and discovery), excellent follow-through, the ability to work independently, a customer-service mindset, a passion for employment law, and strong analytical and writing skills.

Requirements:In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $262,500 and $300,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. A competitive hours-based bonus is also available.
