Kickstart your career in cost segregation with Hall CPA! As a Cost Segregation Consultant, you'll work hands-on with real estate investors across the country, analyzing properties, construction costs, and building components to help clients unlock meaningful tax savings. You'll gain exposure to engineering-based cost segregation studies, real estate construction, and tax depreciation strategies that directly impact investor cash flow.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cost segregation, construction, engineering, estimating, appraisal, inspections, or related fields
(Internship or transferable experience welcomed.) - Knowledge of construction cost data (e.g., RSMeans or Marshall & Swift) is a plus, but not required.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Prepare cost segregation studies for real estate clients across the U.S.
- Review construction documents, invoices, settlement statements, and fixed asset schedules.
- Perform construction cost analysis of architectural, site, civil, mechanical, electrical, and specialty components.
- Assist with on-site property inspections to document building systems and components as needed.
- Travel up to 20%, including occasional overnight travel for property inspections
- Prepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate integration into tax compliance and planning.
- Develop technical expertise in cost segregation, MACRS depreciation, and real estate-related tax concepts.
- Deliver a best-in-class client experience through accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of building construction methods and systems.
- Read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Use our tech stack proficiently, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Clickup, Hubspot, and construction software.
