Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Community Outreach Assistant to support nonprofit campaigns, grassroots initiatives, and live community events. This full-time, entry-level position includes paid training and provides hands-on experience in nonprofit outreach, event coordination, and public engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Represent nonprofit partners at community outreach events, fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and other public-facing activities.
- Communicate mission-driven messaging clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Provide responsive, courteous assistance to community members and address routine questions about programs and services.
- Support event planning and execution, including logistics coordination, setup, on-site support, and teardown.
- Distribute and manage informational and promotional materials; monitor inventory and restock as needed.
- Collect attendee feedback and observational insights to inform outreach strategy and improve future events.
- Collaborate with outreach teams to meet campaign goals and maintain positive relationships with local partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; full paid training provided.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a small, mission-driven team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
