Job Summary

We are seeking a caregiver for our client in San Diego, California.

Standard Caregiver Qualifications

Location: San Diego, CA

Available Positions: 10

Salary Range: $2500-$5000 USD

Basic Requirements

• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• Legal to Work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not always required)
• Fluent in English (bilingual caregivers are a plus, especially Spanish-speaking)

Certifications & Training

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS)
• *Required for non-medical caregivers providing services through licensed home care organizations.
• TB Test (Tuberculosis Clearance) current within the last 2 years
• Training Hours (Per California Law):
• *5 hours of entry-level training before working with clients
• *5 hours of annual continuing education

Skills & Experience

Experience with:

• Personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Medication reminders
• Mobility assistance (transfers, using mobility aids)
• Companionship and emotional support
• Dementia or Alzheimers care experience is highly desirable
• Clean driving record (if transportation is part of the job)

• Ability to follow care plans and directions from family members or supervisors

Background Check

Required under CA law if working through an agency or as a registered Home Care Aide. Includes fingerprinting (Live Scan) and a background check.
