Presently, we are seeking candidates for the following at our commissary kitchen in Gowanus.

Pie Team (10am - 6pm)

Successful candidates will have baking experience and a commitment to excellence in their craft! We offer 5 days on/2 days off, paid time off, paid sick leave and pie discounts.

Task include:

• Scaling and mixing various fillings and doughs.
• Assembling and baking pies and pastries.
• Use of kitchen tools and equipment such as: vertical cutter/mixer, convection ovens, dough sheeter, rolling pins, electric scales
• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, adhering to both regulatory and company policy. Tasks will include some dishwashing, sweeping, and mopping.

Selection Criteria:

• Experience in the food service industry with a concentration on baking, pastry, prep work, or oven work
• Availability must include at least one weekend day and holidays
• Positive attitude along with flexibility
• Can work independently and must work well with others
• Pays special attention to detail, cleanliness, efficiency and organization
• Able to follow instruction, guidance and constructive feedback 
• Ability to complete tasks within a set time period to a very high, consistent standard
• Must be able to work 8 hours on your feet, lift, bend and reach
• Must be able to lift items of up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs on occasion.
• Driver's license a plus!
• Pay DOE starting at $20/hr+
