Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, reach-ins, and air conditioning units.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and execute high-quality, efficient repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize system performance and life span.
- Maintain detailed service records, including diagnostics, parts used, and follow-up recommendations.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and building code standards.
- Coordinate with other technicians and facility staff to minimize operational disruptions.
- Stay up to date with evolving technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Provide fast food restaurant maintenance support.
- Commute between locations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control mechanisms.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Able to manage multiple service calls independently and efficiently.
- Availability for after-hours, weekend work, and on-call rotation.
- Ability to commute between locations.
- Fluent in English and able to converse in English
- Familiarity with local codes and commercial building standards. (Preferred)
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical degree or trade school certification in HVAC. (Preferred)
- Experience working with energy management systems or programmable controls.(Preferred)
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- EPA Section 608 Certification and valid HVAC license required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
